Insurance Carriers

Insurance policies are issued and claims are paid by the applicable insurance carrier, subject to the terms of the issued policy.

Legacy may assist clients with comparing available options, communicating with carriers, and navigating insurance-related questions. Final decisions concerning eligibility, underwriting, pricing, policy issuance, coverage interpretation, and claim payment are made by the applicable insurer.

References to an insurance carrier or product do not guarantee availability, eligibility, or approval.

Claims

Website contact and quote forms are not intended for reporting claims or emergencies.

If you need to report a claim:

  • Contact Legacy directly during normal business hours

  • Follow the claim-reporting instructions provided with your policy

  • Contact the insurance carrier using its designated claim-reporting method

  • Contact emergency services when immediate assistance is required

Do not rely on a general website form, email, or voicemail for an urgent or time-sensitive claim notice. Request and retain confirmation that your claim has been received.

Legacy does not make final claim-coverage or payment decisions. Those decisions are made by the issuing insurance carrier under the applicable policy.

Policy Changes and Cancellations

Requests to add, remove, modify, renew, reinstate, or cancel coverage are not effective merely because they are submitted through a website form, email, or voicemail.

Contact Legacy directly and obtain confirmation that the requested action has been completed. Policy changes may require additional information, documentation, underwriting approval, signatures, or payment.

Certificates of Insurance

A certificate of insurance provides evidence of insurance as of the date it is issued. A certificate does not amend, extend, or alter the coverage provided by the policy.

Requests involving additional insured status, waiver of subrogation, primary and noncontributory wording, special limits, or other contractual requirements may require review and an endorsement issued or approved by the insurance carrier.

A contract requirement does not automatically create coverage.

Payment information is entered and processed through ePayPolicy rather than through Legacy’s general Squarespace website forms.

A payment does not by itself guarantee that coverage has been bound, renewed, reinstated, or protected from cancellation. Other carrier or agency requirements may apply. Confirm the status of your coverage directly with Legacy when timing is important.

Electronic Communications

Email, website forms, and voicemail may not be reviewed immediately and should not be used when urgent action is required.

Electronic communications may be delayed, misdirected, intercepted, or affected by technical problems. Do not send sensitive personal, financial, medical, or insurance information through an unsecured communication method.
